Blah blah blah. The Count returns to The Civic, and Marty McFly jumps to the future… I mean present.
There has been a lot of mature content lately at the Civic, but I just wanted to let you know that we have not forgotten about all you little monsters out there. We have a room reservation booked for family fun at Hotel Transylvania 2 (rated G) from Oct. 16 – 21. Dracula and his friends try to bring out the monster in his half human, half vampire grandson in order to keep Mavis from leaving the hotel.
October 21, 2015 is the destination in time set on the Flux capacitor for an emergency jump at the end of Back to the Future. In honour of Marty’s arrival, we are featuring a special screening of Back to the Future II at 7:30 on the day of his arrival! Grab your hoverboard, put on your best self-lacing hightops and come on out!!!
If you loved Frances Ha, you must check out the latest collaboration from Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig. Mistress America (rated PG), finally hits The Civic’s screen as our Thursday, Oct. 22nd film. Tracy, a lonely college freshman in New York, is rescued from her solitude by her soon-to-be stepsister Brooke (Gerwig), an adventurous gal about town who entangles her in alluringly mad schemes. Mistress America is a comedy about dream-chasing, score-settling, makeshift families, and cat-stealing.
