Our Member Monday film for April is upon us on the 25th, and what better way is there to usher in Richard Linklater’s new hilarious film set in college in the 80’s, Everybody Wants Some (playing Apr. 29), than with his 70’s high school stoner classic Dazed and Confused.  Free for members, $10 for everyone else, or decide to buy a membership by the end of the night and your $10 goes toward the cost.
Coasting off our week of celebrating all things Canadian, our next doc Al Purdy Was Here playing Wed. Apr. 27 looks at one of Canada’s most celebrated men of words, Al Purdy.
This week’s Thursday film is sure to be a unique experience.  The up for Academy Award for best foreign film, Embrace of the Serpent, filmed in glorious black and white, tells the story of the relationship between Karamakate, an Amazonian shaman and last survivor of his people, and two scientists who work together over the course of 40 years to search the Amazon for a sacred healing plant.
